Mr. Over/Under: Seattle +2.5 over Tampa Bay
This would be a good week to check the injury report come Sunday. It appears a number of back-up quarterbacks may be starting this week. Don’t forget Jimmy Garoppolo started the season as a back-up. Holy Germany Batman! Yes NFL football is in Munich this Sunday. The last 3-weeks, the Seattle’s defense has allowed the lowest average yards per play, while averaging. over 32-points. During the same time the Bucs have only averaged 13.6-points per game. The Seahawks are getting 2.5-points. That seems like a bargain to me, so I’m going with the team that’s scoring a lot more.. Take Seattle.
Man in Stripes: 6 Point Teaser Seattle +8.5/ Giants +0.5
The first ever game in Munich has one of the surprise teams in the league. At 6-3, Pete Carroll has his team in first, behind the possible comeback player of the year in Geno Smith. The Seahawks are healthy but Tampa Bay can’t say the same thing. Jones, Gage and Evans are all questionable for the Bucs. TB was lucky to win last week. We tease this past the crucial numbers of 3,4,6, and 7.
Our friend Brain Dabol is leading the other major surprise team in the league. At 6-2 behind the improving Daniel Jones, the Giants are battling for a playoff spot. The resurgence of Saquon Barkley has helped the football Giants as well. The Texans in a word stink, stink!!! All we are asking for the Giants here is to win. Let’s stay hot!!!
Mono: TCU +7 over Texas
The line here is straight disrespect for the Frogs. TCU gets into a top four spot and this looks like a spot for a let down. Let’s not forget they have one of the best offenses in the country averaging 43 points and over 500 yards per game. Sonny Dykes has rejuvenated Max Duggan and the likes of Kendre Miller and Quentin Johnson. I’m expecting TCU to keep pace with their season averages.
Texas is coming off a win at Kansas State. Had the Wildcats not slept walked through the first three quarters the outcome might have been different. Bijan Robinson is coming off a 210-yard performance and seven straight 100-yard performances. These two teams are evenly matched. I maybe running into a trap but TCU has fought all year after finding themselves down double digits. TCU has another chance to prove they are for real. Take the Frogs to keep it close in an old fashioned Big 12 shootout.
Brutal: Toronto Argonauts -3 over Montreal in Eastern Final for Grey Cup
The season series is 2-1 for Toronto, but the one loss was when Toronto had nothing to play for. Toronto is balanced on both sides of the ball. Toronto’s QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson runs the Toronto offense. The veteran QB comes to Toronto via UCLA and Sacremento State years ago. Montreal barely got in. Toronto is clearly the best team in the East. Toronto is at home and I wasn’t impressed with Montreal last week in their win over Hamilton.
Bob: Fresno State -9.5 over UNLV
The best QB that people don’t know about in the country is Jake Haener of Fresno. Haener has flown under the radar because he has missed a few games because of injury. He’s back and the Fresno offense is back running in high gear. In the last three games Fresno is averaging 42 points per game. UNLV is the exact opposite. They have lost four in a row and in those games they have averaged 11 points per game. Fresno needs the win to become bowl eligible. Let’s roll with the hot team Friday night in Vegas.
