Mr. Over/Under: Dallas -7 over Washington

Most analysis will tell you that week 18 in the NFL is the WORST week to bet, as so many teams have nothing to gain and will hold their starters out. With that in mind, I’ll share some interesting facts. Dallas has scored more points in the last 10 weeks than any other team. Cincinnati is 20-3 against the spread in its last 23-games. The Steelers have won 18 straight regular season HOME games against Cleveland. Tampa Bay has only covered 4-times this year, while Detroit and the Giants have covered 12-times  Going into week 11, Tennessee was 8-2 ATS. Today they are 8-7-1 ATS. So why am I taking Dallas -7 over Washington?

Because Buffalo and Cincinnati are also -7, and should win big, but after Monday night, I have no idea how they’ll respond. Happy New Year!

Man in Stripes: TCU +13.5 over Georgia

First of all the sporting world and my thoughts and prayers are with Damar Hamlin of the Bills to have a full recovery. The news seems more encouraging and positive which is the best we can hope for. The 200-1 shot TCU vs Georgia going for back-to-back titles. I’m staying with Cinderella here with almost 2 TD’s. TCU is 10-3-1 ATS and 3-1 as a dog. What an incredible job Sonny Dykes has done. Max Duggan at QB is coming out of nowhere to a game away from the National Championship. TCU is a little healthier and UGA has struggled a little against the pass. TCU controlled Michigan. While Georgia is great they needed a miracle comeback and a missed FG as the ball dropped in Time Square to beat Ohio State. I’ve been with them all year and no reason to drop off now. TCU plus the points and I will sprinkle a little beer money on the money line. Enjoy the game!!

Mano: Steelers -2.5 over Cleveland

Kenny Pickett is coming into his own, with fourth quarter comebacks in each of his last two games. He’s got a season finale here and a chance to keep Tomlin’s above .500 streak alive. A win and some help and they can get in. Deshaun Watson is finding himself a bit, but he was sacked five times last week. TJ Watt and the defensive line will have a feast. Pickett finishes his rookie year strong. Steelers win a classic AFC North battle 21-17.

Brutal: North Dakota State +5.5 over South Dakota State

Going with the OTHER championship game this week. North Dakota State is a power for years that it seems they play in this game every year.  The game is played in Frisco Texas. South Dakota State is getting better and is now the favorite.  South Dakota State beat North Dakota State 23-21 earlier this year in North Dakota. The other two losses for these teams are North Dakota State losing a close game to Arizona. South Dakota State only loss was 7-3 to Iowa. Bottom line is this should be a close game and I’m getting over a FG.  I’ll go with the team that has been there before.

Bob:  Teaser: Minnesota -1.5 and Seattle Even

Week 18 is so tough so let’s go with a teaser and pick two teams that essentially just have to win. I look for Minnesota to bounce back after a horrible performance in Green Bay last week.  They play a Bears team that has lost nine straight and now are sitting Justin Fields for Nathan Peterman.  The Bears have a chance for the first pick overall in the draft and I feel have no reason to want to win this game.

Seattle needs a win against the Rams and then they need to have Detroit beat Green Bay. First things first they need to take care of business and beat the Rams. The Rams have had a disaster of a season and their three best players Stafford, Kupp and Donald haven’t played since November. Geno Smith has resurrected his career and is only the second Seahawk QB to throw for over 4,000 yards in a season. Seahawks get the needed win and then hope the Lions play for pride against Green Bay.
