Mr. Over/Under: Ravens -2.5 over New England
Only seven teams have covered the spread the first 2-weeks of this NFL season. Among them are Atlanta, Detroit, the Giants and Houston. Buffalo & Miami are also 2-0 against the spread and play each other in Miami this week. Miami has scored 62 points so far, while the Bills have scored 72. Kansas City has scored the most points at 73. One game jumps out at me this week. The Ravens are giving 2.5 to the Patriots. Baltimore has to be mad as hell, after losing to Miami last week, and they have a much better quarterback, offense and defense. Take Baltimore minus 2.5 before the odds change.
Man in Stripes: Bills/ Dolphins over 52.5
Biggest game in over a decade for these two will be a shootout. The Bills with Allen, Diggs and company have been like watching a video game. They have scored 72 points in literally 6 quarters, since they have taken the air out in both fourth quarters. The Dolphins defense gave up 35 points to the Ravens last week. Tua and the offense had a miracle comeback. Throw in Bills killer Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddleland against a Bills defense that is hurt in the secondary. On a short week this has all the ingredients for an old fashioned shootout. First team to 40 wins. Love the over in South Beach and as always Go Bills!
Mono: Arkansas +2 over Texas A&M
This is a tough one for A&M with a confident Arkansas team coming to Texas for a showdown in Jerry’s world. The problems that A&M had against Appalachian State can’t be ignored. This could be a look ahead spot for Arkansas with Alabama on deck, but this A&M team isn’t Alabama. A&M will have trouble stopping KJ Jefferson and the Razorback offense. Arkansas will have a little added motivation in Jerry world. Take Arkansas here to keep rolling and set-up a top 10 match-up next with Alabama.
Brutal: Washington State +7 over Oregon
The best win of either of these teams was Washington State at Wisconsin. I can’t trust Bo Nix. He makes too many mistakes. Washington State has brought back the Air Raid offense. Oregon hasn’t been great on the road the last couple of years. I’ll take Washington State and their young coach at home getting a touchdown.
Bob: Minnesota -6 over Detroit
The Vikings are much better at home and I look for them to bounce back after a poor performance Monday night in Philadelphia. The Lions are the opposite they play much better at home. Same is true for the quarterbacks Cousins better at home and Goff worse on the road. This is the first road game for the Lions. Lions defense has been giving up 32 points a game. The Vikings were great at home in week one against the Packers. I look for that Vikings team to show up and not the team that played Monday night.
